Therapy & Supervision

I completed my psychotherapy training at the School of Psychotherapy and Psychology at Regent’s University in 2008. I then completed my training in EMDR in 2009 and I am a fully accredited practitioner.
I have a broad skill-set, and an expertise in evidence-based approaches with the therapeutic relationship standing firmly at the centre. As such I am able to compassionately offer my clients a tailored approach to suit their individual needs.

My training and clinical placements afforded me a broad and focused grounding in humanistic, existential, phenomenological, psychodynamic and integrative therapies. My clinical placements both in the NHS and at the Priory Hospital Roehampton ranged from working with models such as psychodynamic, cognitive analytic and cognitive behavioural therapies; the latter including third wave therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness.

Regular work with either interpreters or in a foreign language has deepened my awareness to and sharpened my sensitivity to working cross-culturally.
I have a particular expertise and interest in complex and recent trauma; I have also received specialist training on working with military veterans.
Additionally, my Master’s dissertation focused on the Role of Psychotherapy in the Treatment of Bipolar Disorder. I have significant interest and experience in this field and also have received specialist training in psychoeducation and relapse prevention for bipolar disorder.

I have a special interest in EMDR, which is typically known for its efficacy in the treatment of psychological trauma. It has also shown to be effective in treating anxiety disorders, depression and chronic pain.
